The annual Tidal Pools carnival was last Sunday at Northbridge Baths. As usual it was a fun day with a lot of super competitive races and lots of fun relays with up to 16 swimmers per race.
Our Juniors were the stars of the day absolutely dominating their races with many of our children winning all their age group races. We also won the trophy for the all age relay which is the blue ribbon race of the day where there are 2 swimmers from each age group from 10 right through to 60.
At the end of the day the aspect that I was most proud of is the team spirit we have at the club. Everyone swam their best on the day and cheered and encouraged their fellow team members on. Win, lose or draw all the members of the Spit Swimming Club held their head high and we all had a great day. Well done to everyone!!
