50m FREESTYLE HANDICAP FOR BOYS & GIRLS
1ST PLACE AWARDED THE TROPHY.
Rose Douglas was a Spit Club race official and became involved with the club when her daughter Flora started swimming with the Spit. In time, Flora also became a race official. She was also an official with the Northern Suburbs Swimming Asssociation and N.S.W. Swimming Association. They donated this trophy in 1963.
Last year, Patrick Quigley took the trophy with Lucie Lowrey in 2nd and Briarna McPhee in 3rd.
Girls & Boys to be entered on their ordinary handicap times with no disqualification for breaking their times.
Place 1st, 2nd, & 3rd in heats to be re-handicapped for the semi-finals, 1st places from the semi-finals to be re-handicapped for the Final.
Swimmers only re handicapped if they break their original handicap time. Placings in the final to be 1st, 2nd, & 3rd.
All receive an award. 1st the trophy plus something in value of $30.00, 2nd value of $20 and 3rd $10 or equivalent).
