I’m also doing another bootcamp for Full Stack Development which I’m honestly aws certified cloud practitioner more interested in. I signed up for the AWS one just to have it under my belt but I’ve read mixed reviews on the usefulness of the practitioner cert. A subreddit dedicated to questions and discussions about coding bootcamps. The curriculum consists of IT, Python, DevOps, Linux and AWS Cloud essentials.
Before that, I was the senior manager at a local environmental non-profit. I’ve been taking the course in mid-late August and we probably only talked about actually material 2-3 times. What I do like about the program is that we have access to A Cloud Guru for free and get a free voucher for the exam. My career advisor at Generation sent us information about the Verizon Thrive Apprenticeship program, which I was especially excited about. Before Generation/Verizon, I was the manager for a local boutique that focused on making sustainable, healthy treats.

This program prepares, trains and certifies you for Azure, Microsoft’s public cloud computing platform. Azure provides a range of cloud services, including compute, analytics, storage and networking. On November 8, 33 Thrive program apprentices officially joined our V Team in a variety of technology roles including software engineering, cloud, java development and digital marketing. With a mix of hands-on work and technical training, we reskill and upskill the apprentices for jobs in the future economy.
Junior Cloud Practitioner
Generation USA offers lifetime career and social support for graduates. Through this partnership, Generation will provide MDC students the chance to explore other opportunities, including apprenticeships, continuing education, internships, and full-time employment. Worldwide, more than 75 million young people are unemployed and there are 375 million workers of all ages who need to learn new skills by 2030. Generation is working to transform education to employment systems to help both workers and employers thrive in the face of these challenges.
Both programs are geared toward people who are problem solvers and offer the development of soft skills and building technical knowledge, which are key components to help students unlock their full potential in these growing careers. In this program, you’ll get the skills and training you need to get a job as a Cloud Practitioner. This bootcamp style training will be Monday to Friday, 9 am to 3 pm, for 16 weeks.
